Listening is like holding Gibran's bow for another.
I envision Wonder Anew as a tool for clear-seeing. Sort of like Kahlil Gibran's bow.
In the same way that I quiet, still, and hold my camera to see and study birds, listening is figuratively getting to hold a bow for another's personal exploration. So, with a listening presence, an environment is created for the teller to hear oneself. It is my hope that what is uncovered transforms into a gateway of insight.
Gibran's poem expresses what I mean.
"...Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself...
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts...
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth..." - An excerpt, On Children by Kahlil Gibran
